Peaceful Village
(Taken from Bicentennial Book)

Peaeful Village

There's a peaceful little village
in lower Adam's County
Where the home folks keep on living
and earth provides the bounty.
It's a village full of promise where
the air is meadow sweet
And the tree-lined streets are friendly
like the people that you meet.

It's a village full of kindly folks who
know each other well;
Just the sort of folks who have the time
to stop and chat a spell.
And they make you feel so welcome
in thier homey atmosphere,
While, in manner, they are gentle folks
so honest and sincere.

Let me share this village with you and
it's meadows and it's streams
Where the sun shines down in glory and
the snow of winter gleams.
I have loved this peaceful village where
friends and I have trod -
For its strength is built on friendship
and its faith is laid in God.
