- Arriving for the interview: (Never arrive for an interview late. If for some exceptional reason you can not arrive on time, call and let them know you are going to be late and why.)
- Appearance: (Dress approriately. This means at least one level above the position that you are seeking. First impressions may mean the difference of getting the job. Limit Jewerly; Conservative hair style; Cover up tattoos; Don't smell like smoke; Neat, trimmed, short nails, light polish; Minimal make-up; Dark conservative clothing and polished shoes [Your appearance makes a statement. If you look neat and clean, the impression is that you take pride in yourself and your work. If you look like a slob, it implies that you might be a sloppy worker.])
- What to take with you to the interview A record of your former employment including vounteer work and student activites.; References - the names of three responsible and reliable people who know you well and can speak knowledgeably about you (Not family members). You must have their permission.; Driver's license number; Social Security number.
- Communication: ( Verbal Communication- clearly understood, positive language skills; Written Communications-legible, Neat, writting skills)

- Follow up: It is proper to drop a note to the personnel director thanking them for the interview and let them know that you are still interested in the job.
