Littlestown High School
Interact is a
Rotary-sponsored service club for young people. Made up of
members of
secondary-school age, Interact gives young people an opportunity to
participate in fun, meaningful service projects. Interactors develop
their leadership skills and initiative while meeting new friends.
Littlestown Interact Club meets at 7:15
o'clock in the morning on Wednesday every other week. They hold
their meetings in the room 104 on the main floor of the
High School.
There is a small fee for
membership and a requirement for attendance at meetings and activities to stay
active in the organization. Interact tries to do a service
activity each month of the school year. Two members usually
attend the local rotary meetings and many also help with some of the
Rotary activities. Interact has been averaging about 45 to 50 students
each year.
Activities that they
do include but are not limited to Adopt-A-Highway, Trick or Treat for
UNICEF, Hats on for Spina Bifida, Red Cross Angel tree, Cerebral Palsy Gift
Wrapping, Powder Puff Football for a chosen benefit, etc.
Check the Interact Bulletin Board in
the cafeteria hallway for the latest information.
Interact Fundraiser:
It's the action,
not the fruit of the action, that's important. You have to do the
right thing. It may not be in your time, that there'll be any fruit.
But that doesn't mean you stop doing the right thing, You may never
know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there
will be no result.
